Powerlifting Going to State!
At the regional meet in Lumberton, Orlando Adame won his weight division winning the gold medal and qualifying for the state meet in Abilene. Isaiah Adams and Trent Mendez also won medals both placing third in their weight division and will both be alternates for the state meet. Other competitors who had a great year and competed at regionals were Hayden Schulz and D'Keenan Thompson.

Gifted & Talented Nominations
Public Notice Schulenburg ISD is now planning for the Gifted/Talented program and accepting referrals for students in 1st thru 5th grades who may need services for school. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the regular classroom.

Congratulations to the SHS Band Solo and Ensemble participants! Today 6 members of the Shorthorn Band competed at the solo and ensemble contest in Smithville. Mask Update
Please see the following message from Mr. Limbaugh... "Schulenburg ISD will continue the wearing of masks by all of our employees, students and visitors. Social distancing and other protocols, as outlined in the SISD Return to School guidelines, will remain in effect until further notice. I believe the safety protocols that we have put into place are protecting our students and staff from COVID-19. We are safer, because we have been working together to protect one another by wearing masks, practicing social distancing, washing our hands and implementing other safety practices."

Scholastic Book Fair at SES
The Scholastic Book Fair will be open next week (March 1st-5th). Students have designated times to come during the school day. Families are welcome 4:00PM-7:00PM on Monday, March 1st and 4:00PM-5:30PM on Tuesday, March 2nd thru Thursday, March 4th.
